 What is included with the #LA400 (single) swing gate opener?

 

 A weatherproof control box including two 12V 7 amp hour batteries, control board and receiver, one remote controls, actuator arm with easy to install bolt on mounting hardware, 24 volt plug in style power supply and easy to follow instruction manual.

 

 The #LA400 (dual) unit includes the additional actuator arm, 40’ interface cable for slave unit and additional mounting brackets.

 

What is not included?

 

 A keypad or intercom, auto exit wand or freight.

 

What kind of warranty does Liftmaster offer?

 

 Liftmaster offers a two-year limited warranty.

 

 Will my new Liftmaster gate opener work with my Home-Link button already in my car?

 

 Yes, and it is easy to program.

 

 Will my existing remote controls for my Liftmaster garage door opener work with the LA400?

 

If your Liftmaster garage door opener was manufactured after May 1st 2005, they will work. Liftmaster has recently changed their radio frequency from 390 MHZ to 315 MHZ. The #370 series remote controls will work but the #970 series will not work without a universal receiver.

 

How easy is the #LA400 gate opener to install?

 

 The #LA400 gate opener can be installed in a few hours with only a handful of tools. Simply plug the power supply in to the nearest 110v outlet and run low voltage wire to the control box. Mount the rear of the actuator arm to the post and the front mount to the gate. Adjust the limit switches that control how far the push pull tube extends and retracts.

 A dual system will require you to run the interface cable across the driveway. Program your remote controls and keypad and your done.   In most applications, the #LA400 gate opener will replace an existing gate opener using existing mounting brackets with only minor adjustments.

 

What is an exit wand?

 

 The exit wand is a device you burry beside the driveway that allows all visitors to exit the property (If you activate the auto close feature).
